Samsung Develope New Tech To Make Double Battery Life

Samsung Develope New tech To Make Double Battery Life

Samsung reportedly developing the research and development of silicon anode technology, to find solutions to problems that the smartphone battery life tends to be small. The answer from all the problems of small battery life for this may be due to hit the lithium-ion battery technology, which so far is still the mainstay for many vendors and component suppliers batteries.

Now, Samsung is trying to develop alternative battery materials other than lithium-ion, which may provide more battery life for a smartphone.

Samsung research team tested the silicon anode material and a layer of graphene, which enables the Samsung battery can last more than 21 hours. Scientists consider adding a silicon anode in batteries, where the addition of silicon makes the battery can live longer because avoid draining the battery power faster than lithium-ion batteries.

But Samsung is expected to add a layer of graphene on top of the battery, so it can be possible to maintain the longevity of the battery and its density.

As a consequence of the increasingly diverse features and functions in smartphones, of course, makes the battery life so quickly depleted. Usually battery Android OS based phones such as Samsung's Galaxy series only worked for about 12 hours, before the battery actually drop. If the lithium-ion battery technology + silicon anode is completely developed by Samsung, the Samsung smartphone battery probable future generations will have a battery life of up to more than 21 hours.

Initial experimental models of lithium ion + silicon anodes produced Samsung is 1.5 to 1.8 times more dense than ordinary batteries, which are present in smartphones today.

Samsung is currently still in the testing phase for the design of the battery pack to be thinner and customize the design and the shape of the smartphones. Batteries are still in the research phase is likely not to be implemented by Samsung to Samsung Galaxy S7, weighing still a lengthy process of refinement and safety in terms of the use of these batteries.
